6 EASY HEALTHY SNACKS
Are you bored of the same old, same old when it comes to eating healthily on the go? Well, look no further as I have a bunch of ideas to keep you energised & well-fed for those moments when you are stuck at work, waiting to pick the kids up or, well, just peckish.
Following are six high protein snack ideas, some super simple, some requiring a little more prep to help add some variety to your eating landscape. You’re welcome!
SMOKED SALMON & YOGHURT OATCAKES

Grab some oatcakes, slather on a good dollop of full-fat Greek yoghurt or kefir or cottage cheese and top with a chunk of beautiful orangey-pink smoked salmon. Add a squeeze of lemon & you have yourself a classy snack that will see you through to your next meal in style!
BANANA WITH NUT BUTTER

Peel the yellow item. Unscrew the jar & undertake more slathering but this time with chunky, nutty goo….this snack is ideal to help fuel a high intensity workout session.
GOOGIE EGGS

I’m not a fan of the marketing term, “superfood” however, if ever there was a hero in a full shell that packed a massive nutrient punch then it’s the egg. Preferably organic, hard boil a couple of these bad boys & pop them in a container with some pepper & mustard and you’ve got yourself the perfect snack for on the go.
PESTO CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS

Slice up some protein of choice (chicken, turkey, tofu…), pop it onto a lettuce leaf, smother it with pesto and munch away – sooo tasty.
PROTEIN SMOOTHIE

Combine half a cup each of water & coconut milk with a tablespoon each of pumpkin seeds & tahini. Then add a teaspoon of cinnamon, half a banana, a handful of spinach and a scoop of protein powder. Whizz up in a whizzy appliance and refrigerate until snack time!

Whip up your own hummus or just grab a shop bought version preferably made with olive oil. Chop up chunks of raw veg, dunk & scoff!
